ellenmartin.biz                   art consulting + design services

Welcome to my site and thank you for visiting. Many people are unsure when it comes to buying art. As an art consultant, I can make this process simpler. After an initial consultation to discuss your goals, we will work together to

  • determine which style of art best suits your home, office or business.
  • determine which media mix of art is most appropriate: paintings, drawings, photographs, collages, prints, posters, mixed media, and/or sculpture.
  • determine how many pieces you'll need and where they will be displayed.
  • make the purchases.
  • go through the framing process.
  • Work on the final installation.

If you are an established collector and want to edit or re-install your collection, I will be happy to work with you on a consulting basis.

My background includes an art history undergraduate degree from Brooklyn College, and five years of experience working in framing and art galleries. I also have personal relationships with gallery owners and many respected artists, some of whose works are represented on these pages. My most important qualification, however, is that I love art, and have ever since that first Capezio clown poster that touched my heart. Growing up in NYC and tramping through the halls of the Met, MoMA, the Guggenheim, etc. only enriched my love.

Please enjoy browsing through my site. If you click on the Artists link above, you can start exploring the work of some of the artists I've worked with.

I hope you enjoy my site. I hope I can be of service.

Sincerely,
ellen

Untitled II by Helen Weigand
Diane Bruce's Il Sole La Luna

Any one of Helen Wiegand's pieces will provide a brilliant conversation piece and a work of unique intensity and beauty.

A unique piece like Diane Bruce's "Luna Il Sole" can really strengthen the theme of your restaurant or theme dining room.

Dot Procter's
Bev Ryan's

Using a beautiful piece of art in a stairwell can not only
provide an enriching visual experience in an unexpected
location, but it can also help guide visitors
through your house.

Using one very large piece, such as Bev Ryan's
"Power of a Beautiful Dress," not only provides a stunning
focal point, but eliminates the need for many other pieces.
